The Best Founders Don't Need AI. They Wield It.
Superintelligence is commoditized. What used to take a team of engineers and millions in R&D, a single founder can now build in weeks. But building is only half the battle. The first capital into a company buys something AI can't replicate: a founding team with the conviction, network, and speed to commercialize before the market catches up.
Capital is no longer engineering constrained.
It is operator constrained.
The word “ciao” originates from the Venetian “schiavo vostro”: “I am your servant.” What began as an expression of humility between Venetians became one of the world's most universal greetings. I took the name literally: I exist to be in service of the founders I back. I'm a kinetic investor who activates my network, whether that means opening doors to new customers or helping them recruit A-players to their team.
Where I Invest
I focus on areas where I have deep conviction, personal experience, and strong networks:
AI for the Real Economy. I back founders applying AI to industries that still run on phone calls, spreadsheets, and manual processes: home services, logistics, real estate, and specialty distribution. These markets are massive, underdigitized, and ripe for intelligent automation.
Unlocking Trapped Capital. I invest in platforms that create liquidity where none existed, enabling access to illiquid assets, opening up new ownership models, and powering underserved financial markets. The $100T generational wealth transfer is just the beginning.
Agentic Knowledge Work. I back software where AI doesn't just assist, it acts. Autonomous agents that replace entire workflows for professional services firms, from financial operations to contract execution to enterprise productivity.
I invest Pre-Series A and prefer to invest as close to inception as possible.
